On the April 18, 2016 International Turkish Hope School organized a Religious Studies quiz show, The Blessed Birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As the name suggests, the main theme of the program encircled the birth and the adventures in the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
This show was open to all Muslim students from grade 3 to 5. The selection process of the program was carried out through a quiz taken in the class from which 24 top scoring students moved on to take part in the main show. All 24 students were divided into groups of 4 making 6 groups in total. They were Meraj., Ansars, Suffah, Aqabah., Isra and Muhajir. Each group had to go through 4 different stages from easy to hard where they had to answer 32 multiple choice questions correctly. The competition was remarkably close as the students answered most of the questions correctly. The excitement among the audience, i.e. students from grade 1 to 5, teachers and some parents, was hard to miss as they all showed readiness to answer any bonus questions directed towards them by the host of the show. In addition to the contest, one of the students delivered a speech on the life of our Prophet, a poem recited by another student was overwhelmingly beautiful, and Mr. Yakub, one of the teachers of ITHS recited a mesmerizing poem in Arabic. At the end of the final stage, group Ansars won the show with a staggering 28 points.
In the previous academic years, ITHS arranged several different activities like essay writing competition, poem recitation, and many more to observe this auspicious occasion. Therefore, this year we opted for an educational quiz show which allowed our students to increase their knowledge about the one who is considered the greatest creation, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), in a more entertaining and exhilarating manner.
